Advancing Research Literacy Workshop

09:00 - 17:00 on Tuesday, May 15

Instructions for Participants:

  • Step 1: If you have not already, please respond to this quick 5-item survey: http://goo.gl/1kLBU.  Responses to the survey will help presenters to more specifically tailor the workshop content to participant needs.  Please complete this survey no later than Friday, May 11.

  • Step 2: In order to get the most out of this workshop, please review the documents posted below and also bring a printed copy of them with you to the session or have them available to view on your laptop/tablet/etc if you are bringing one with you.  The study design and CONSORT checklists/worksheets (http://www.consort-statement.org/consort-statement/) will be referred to frequently throughout the morning.

The remaining documents will be used to guide the NIH grant review process discussion in the afternoon. Please carefully review all of these documents, along with the mock application, prior to the workshop.  You may find it helpful to be able to refer to these documents during the afternoon discussion.  Please plan to bring a printed copy of the "Scoring System and Procedure" document with you to the workshop, particularly the fourth page.

If you have any questions prior to the workshop, please email Ather Ali, ND, MPH at ather.ali@yale.edu. We look forward to meeting you all on May 15th!
